2009-05-18 PERFUME concert at the Film Music Festival in Krakow |

| The 2nd Film Music Festival in Krakow will be held on 21-23 May, 2009. The Festival features five extraordinary film music concerts representing different artistic styles and musical traditions. A Suite from the PERFUME-soundtrack will be performed on May 21 at 9 pm. The composers Tom Tykwer, Reinhold Heil and Johnny Klimek will attend the concert. <more> |

2009-05-11 Tom Tykwer to host panel discussion on film music |

| Tom Tykwer will host a panel discussion on May 27 in Hamburg. „Watch the Sound – listen to the movies“ focuses on the importance and challenges of film music and film composing.
Panelists are: film composers Dirk Reichardt (Keinohrhasen) and Peter Hinderthür (Baader Meinhof Komplex) as well as director/producer Lars Büchel (Lippels Traum, Erbsen auf halb sechs) and producer Judy Tossell (Hilde, Schwesterherz).

| German Films will be celebrating its annual program “KINO! at Thirty: New Cinema from Germany” in The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York from 22 – 30 April.
The program opens with GERMANY 09 - 13 Short Films About The State Of The Nation.
The directors Hans Steinbichler and Wolfgang Becker as well as the producers Verena Rahmig and Dirk Wilutzky will be travelling to attend the opening. A day later, the Goethe-Institut in New York will be hosting a panel discussion in the new premises on “Discussing Germany 09”, to be chaired by author and director Pia Frankenberg. <more> |

| The German museum for cinematography in Frankurt is presenting a special screenin of THE INTERNATIONAL on May 30th.
Tom Tykwer will attend the event.

2009-01-03 X Verleih announces release of Tom Tykwer DVD Collection |

| X Verleih will release a Tom Tykwer DVD collection on February 13th.
The collection includes all of Tom Tykwer´s feature films as well as an Audio CD with selected tracks.
The collection also features Tom Tykwer´s early short films "Epilogue" and "Because" and his first film "The deadly Maria".
The Tom tykwer Collection will be released in German Territory only.

2008-12-01 THE INTERNATIONAL to open Berlinale 2009 |

| The Berlinale press office announced today, that Tom Tykwer´s thriller will open the 59th edition of the Berlin International Film Festival.
THE INTERNATIONAL will be presented out of competition in the Competition programme.

2008-11-18 Marx´s Capital on DVD |

| In 1927 Sergei Eisenstein started one of the most ambitious projects in filmmaking: the adaption of Karl Marx´s "Capital".
Following this idea, German director and author Alexander Kluge found his own cinematic approach to the book and the result has now been released on a unique DVD set.
The 3 DVDs include interviews, short films, and essays. Tom Tykwer participated on this project with a short film titled THE INSIDE OF THINGS.
